Photos|Muddy Source Of Life; The Ningokofe Water Story.

Water they say is life, so clean water will give good life but that isn’t the case of the people leaving in Ningokofe–a small fishing/farming community located along a branch of the River Volta at Dowhenya of the Greater Accra Region, Ghana.

The people in this community are mainly farmers and fishers, but a small number of its youth are indulge in stone quarrying. Though this community is located in the Greater Accra Region it lacks the supply of portable drinking water—i was showed a tap which they said was a source of clean water… but no liquid came out when i opened it.

In the photographs below, i try to show how they fetch and keep their only source of water.
